OCZ intros two gaming mice

OCZ on Monday unveiled two new laser mice meant for gamers with the Behemoth and Eclipse. Either can be customized by each user, with four programmable profiles that can be switched between on the fly, while five removable metal weights that add up to 0.8oz (23g) can be removed or added for a personalized feel to the way the mouse feels in a user's hand. The USB 2.0 mice are plug-and-play and don't require users to install any software.

The Eclipse has a compact form factor covered by a non-slip rubber coating. Its double laser engine has motion reporting that can be set as fast as 60 inches per second, while resolution can be adjusted from 100dpi to 2,400dpi. The resolution can be changed in the middle of a game thanks to a DPI toggle switch, while an LED status indicator helps users match mouse speed to game speed.

The Behemoth is larger in stature but also features a non-slip rubber grip. Along with the larger size, the OCZ Behmoth has a double laser engine with the same maximum 60 inches per second motion reporting, with acceleration that can be set between 100dpi and 3,200dpi.

OCZ has not provided release dates nor pricing information for either of its new gaming mice.
