updated 10:15 am EDT, Thu March 19, 2009

Pocket Informant app

WebIS has launched its Pocket Informant application for the iPhone and iPod touch. Initially presented at the Macworld Expo, and previously available only for Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices, the iPhone app brings users a calendar with task and search functions, plus sync support for Google Calendar and ToodleDo. The program provides several calendar views, such as agenda, month, week and today.

Users can swipe between timelines and apply filters to sort through active, overdue and completed to-dos. Meeting requests can be sent from within the app, and under the today view, users can see a combination of current appointments, to-do items and meeting attendees. Pocket Informant also integrates a set of timebars that show the amount of free and busy time.

Available for download from the App Store, Pocket Informant is priced at $13.
