Tiffen Dfx Essentials
Tiffen has announced a new image editing and enhancement tool for the Mac, Dfx Essentials. The software features 37 specialized filters and effects, and comes with hundreds of built-in presets plus the ability to create and save custom configurations. Dfx Essentials also sports a filter palette, and support for various filetypes.
Users can create multiple layers, color and clone, remove red-eye, and crop, rotate and scale. The filter palette displays thumbnail previews, letting users evaluate effects before applying them to an image. Compatible filetypes include RAW formats, which can then be saved as either TIFF or JPEG images.
The software is expected to be released within the next 30 days at a cost of $60. Owners of Essentials can also upgrade later to Dfx Digital Effects.
