Mien Software has released ScreenRecord Studio, an all-in-one screen capture and movie editing tool. Users can create presentations that combine stills, video and audio. Tools record on-screen actions, highlight key points using auto-panning, and merge audio via recorded voice-overs or imported music. Cameras can be changed live during capture, and during the post phase users can also add transitions to video.
Movie editing tools additionally enable people to trim, split and crop clips, add chapter markers, and operate in any resolution. Lighting and color can be adjusted, and text can be applied in forms such as captions and credits; some other features include picture-in-picture, DV or webcam capture, and an assortment of effect, filter and transition types. Completed videos can be exported to iDVD, QuickTime, DV, MPEG-4 and the web.
