OWC ships Mac Pro RAM

OWC is now offering Mac Pro RAM upgrades up to 32GB. The new RAM sets are said to be selling at a substantial discount over Apple's factory-installed RAM offerings, up to a maximum of $1,620 in savings. The 1066MHz DDR3 ECC memory upgrades -- for the new Nehalem-based Mac Pros introduced last week -- meet Apple Design Specifications, are fully RoHS and JEDEC compliant, and carry a lifetime warranty.

For the 2009 quad-core Mac Pros, OWC is offering a 6GB kit (3x2GB) for $120, and an 8GB kit (4x2GB) for $155. Five kits are available for eight-core Pros: the lower priced sets include 8GB (4x2GB) for $155, 12GB (6x2GB) for $230, and a 16GB set (8x2GB) for $300. The two higher priced, 4GB-based sets include a 24GB kit (6x4GB) for $3,430, and the maximum 32GB (8x4GB), selling for $4,480. The latter would cost $6,100 from Apple.
