Sequence 2.0 released
app4mac says it has released Sequence 2.0, a major update to its screen capture utility. The tool is able to record both screenshots and screencasts, and in the latter case can interweave audio, such as from a user's microphone. Code is multithreaded to improve performance, and static images can be saved to formats including GIF, JPG, PNG, TIFF and PDF.
The v2.0 upgrade is said to use a completely revised interface, and substantially improve performance as well as audio management. New features within the software allow screencast recording at film speed, 24fps, and sketches over material such as lines, squares and arrows. A new selection mode restricts capture to particular portions of a screen, such as iPhone dimensions or the front-most window. Sequence costs $24, and runs on Mac OS X Leopard.
