SecretBox 1.0 debuts
app4mac's second release for Wednesday is SecretBox, a data protection program. Based on BookShelfApps' SecretBook, the app creates a database in which users can store a sensitive information such as credit card numbers, e-mail logins and software registrations. The software is also claimed to be useful for managing business data, such as client passwords.
Content is protected with 256-bit AES encryption, which app4mac notes is never lifted unless essential to the program's use. Users can further organize data into an unlimited number of groups and subgroups. The software is a Leopard-only title costing $24; an iPhone version is due March 24th, and will allow data to be shared between handhelds and computers.
