Motorola's MOTO ZN300 to launch in Q1

updated 05:40 pm EST, Wed March 4, 2009

MOTO ZN300 coming in Q1

While launch dates in the US are still unknown, the MOTO ZN300 handset leaked in mid-February is appearing to be very close to a release date, with Motorola itself saying it will be out in the first quarter of the year and publishing official specs and photos of the quad-band GSM handset. A 3.1-megapixel camera with an LED flash and 8x digital zoom is built into the handset. A microSDHC card slot lets users expand the 8MB of internal memory up to 32GB. Stereo Bluetooth 2 lets users perform wireless printing and image sharing via their USB 2.0 High Speed connection.

The size of the 240x320 display is still unknown, as is the exact operating system to be used, though access to networking services including Facebook, MySpace, Photobucket and YouTube will be built into the handset. Users will be able to post videos and photos with just one click, Motorola says.

A video editing option is also part of the software, letting users add transitions and sound effects to the video options they capture. The company's CrystalTalk tech that will amplify conversations and reduce background noise is likewise part of the specs.

No pricing information has yet been revealed for the MOTO ZN300.
