Gigabyte debuts at CeBIT

Just ahead of the opening of the CeBIT show in Germany on Tuesday, Gigabyte has announced four new peripherals, with the leather-covered and Swarovski crystal-laden wireless GM-M7800S mouse, more conventional-looking GM-M8000 gaming mouse as well as the GK-K6800 multimedia and ultrathin GK-K7100 keyboards. The opulent GM-M7800S shares its maximum 1,600dpi resolution and other specs with the with the GM-M7800 2.4GHz wireless mouse, which is currently available but in a more traditional plastic dress.

The GM-M8000 is meant for hardcore gamers with a maximum 4,000dpi resolution, a scaling button that lets them adjust scaling between one of for levels, and five programmable buttons and three profiles that makes for a total of 15 on-board macros. Users can also adjust its balance by weighting it down with various combinations of weights. The GHOST engine software lets users set button functions, sensitivity, scroll settings and OS compatibility.

The GK-K6800 is a highly-styled multimedia keyboard has a built-in wrist support, along with a shiny steel volume wheel, as well as Internet and multimedia hot keys. The keyboard also has a luxury glossy surface.

The GK-K7100 is a slim keyboard just 9mm (0.35 inches) at its thinnest with a notebook-like design for one of the smallest form factors available. A multimedia mode accessed by pressing two keys within one second switches the keyboard to multimedia mode with 18 dedicated hotkeys.

No pricing or release dates were released about any of the new products, although this information is expected to be unveiled at CeBIT. Last week, the company also revealed it will debut 10-inch netbooks at CeBIT. [via Engadget]
