Omni Group freeware
The Omni Group has released OmniOutliner 3.8, along with freeware versions of several existing applications including OmniWeb, OmniDazzle, OmniDiskSweeper and OmniObjectMeter. The OmniOutliner update adds a quick-look preview of files that are attached or linked to documents. The preview can be accessed by clicking on the attachment and pushing the space bar. Support for Keynote files has been improved, now allowing users to import Keynote '09 files. A few bugs relating to the HTML exporters have also been fixed.
OmniWeb is a browser that features a tab drawer with thumbnail previews of each web page. Ad blocking options allow filtering of content from a particular ad server, or all Flash content. OmniDazzle offers a set of visual effects that can be added to presentations or screenshot captures.
OmniDiskSweeper is a disk cleanup utility that sorts folders and files by size, with special tags for system files to prevent accidental deletion. OmniObjectMeter is a Mac OS memory optimization tool that is designed to help developers find memor leaks, excessive allocation problems, prematurely deallocated objects and other performance issues.
OmniOutliner 3.8 is available as a free update for any registered users of version 3.0 or higher. All of the freeware applications are fully functional, with no licensing restrictions, and available to download directly from the company.
