Xbox 360 RE5 Bundle

Microsoft today fulfilled rumored plans and unveiled a special, Resident Evil 5 limited edition of the Xbox 360. The new model paints the 120GB Xbox 360 Elite in red with a matching controller and bundles both a copy of the edition's namesake survival horror game as well as a code for a free copy of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. A wired headset also translates from the normal black model.

The console is due to ship in March and will sell for the same $400 as the original Elite despite the extra games. Microsoft hasn't said how long it expects the RE5 bundle to last in stores, though the late 2007 Halo 3 limited edition remained in stores for a few months before ending its run.

    Indeedy doo.

It does look nice. I'm not overly keen on the red, but at least if I bought it I'd be mostly assured of having a Jasper motherboard. Just because the console's red doesn't mean I want a Red Ring of Death...
