Along with Blu-ray discs, the burner can also write to DVD-RAM, DVD Dual-Layer R/RW, DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW.

Customers can purchase the drive for $400, including all connection cables and two 25GB BD-R discs. The drive can also be bundled with Roxio Toast 10 Titanium software for $480.

We can play Blu-ray on our Mac as soon as the DRM gets ported to OS X. Yay! More DRM!

Forget the DRM, some of us would like to be able create and watch hi-def movies that we've created ourselves.

Actually, you'll get playback capability when either Apple no longer views it as a threat to their iTMS video rental/sales business, or BluRay takes off and can no longer be 'ignored'.
