MacSpeech Dictate 1.3
MacSpeech has launched an update to its speech recognition software, MacSpeech Dictate 1.3. The application allows verbal commands to control functions such as navigating menus or opening programs and new windows. The latest version adds a new Help Book system, two microphone status indicators, and new commands for document navigation, key presses, key combinations, and training cancellation. Dictate 1.3 also fixes reported bugs and offers several general enhancements.
The new status indicators are located on the menu bar and the status badge of the dock icon. Both provide a visual reference of whether the microphone is on or off. The document cache command allows the program to read the contents of a file, enabling users to navigate through the information or edit the text.
MacSpeech Dictate 1.3 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher and is offered as a free update to customers with registered copies of earlier versions. A new license can be purchased for $200.
