Scosche dock adapter charges iPhone 3G, Touch 2G

updated 06:15 pm EST, Mon February 23, 2009

Dock power adapter

Scosche has released the passPORT Home Dock, an adapter that allows the iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2G and iPod nano 4G to be charged on older docks that do not support the newer USB 5-volt charging standard. The device allows all audio, video and data signals to pass through to the dock. The inserts provided with each iPod can be used for a better fit. A special adapter for BOSE SoundDock I units is also included in the package.

The passPORT Home Dock can be purchased for $40 from Amazon.com or Scosche.com.

    cool but..

yes this is cool, Because once again Apple screwed its loyal consumers by changing their own standards... and Beleive me.. I have plenty of docks and accessories that charge my iPod, but not my iPhone..... but a brand new dock costs $30. An adapter for an old dock cost $40. Can't see the value for this
