Web Store 2.0 ships

Xsilva Systems has launched LightSpeed Web Store 2.0, updating the point-of-sale plug-in for LightSpeed's suite of retail tools. The company has completely rebuilt Web Store, adding an SQL database-driven system that focuses on simplicity. The plug-in allows customers to create and manage secure accounts, for a personalized shopping experience, with the ability to track purchase history and outstanding orders. The update adds secure customer accounts, personalized wish lists, online quotes via shopping cart capabilities and product cross-selling.

The Admin Panel provides customizable designs and flexible templates for more control over the system. The panel can also be used to track sales charts and store data. The system runs automatic updates for easy maintenance, while utilizing SSL encryption for increased security.

The new Web Store version is now available for $900, requiring LightSpeed v2.8 or higher, Mac OS X 10.4 or later and a support subscription. Hosting packages cost $300 for six months or $500 for one year.
