Apps: KaraTunes, Fresh, Clipboard Evolved

  • KaraTunes 3.1 ($13) is an add-on for iTunes allowing users to place all of their lyrics data into a single database which can then be saved, modified and searched. Users can search the LyricTracker database and upload lyrics to their iPod. The latest version allows users to export music and synced lyrics as QuickTime movies to watch on the Mac, PC and iPhone/iPod touch. In additional, users can now set delay time for synced lyrics playback and use customized keywords for Google search. [Download - 10.5MB]

  • Fresh 1.0 ($9) allows users to manage the files that they are working on or have recently downloaded. Fresh tracks the entire computer and looks for newly created or changed files. This way when a user saves a word processing document to a different folder that its usual location, Fresh will show the change. Fresh also supports tagging and rating files using the new OpenMeta standard. With OpenMeta, all files on a computer can be tagged and rated using the same cross application format.   • Clipboard Evolved 2.2 ($15) is an advanced clipboard application for Mac OS X users. It allows users to copy text, colors, images or giles and then keep track of things that have been copied in a clipboard like interface. Version 2.2 includes an option to magnify clips when hovering the curser over them and also improves performance and fixes several bugs. [Download - 0.97MB]

  • Skeiron 1.1 (free) shows the artwork and other information of the track playing in iTunes. The application uses Growl notifications to display information when a track changes and users can also download lyrics for songs right from Skeiron. The latest release adds the ability to fetch artwork automatically and a preference for choosing whether or not to fetch artwork. The lyric and main windows also now remember their positions on the screen after they are closed. [Download - 7.3MB]

  • CryptBoard 1.2 (free) is an encrypted notepad that can be used for storing passwords and other sensitive information. CryptBoard can be locked when not in use or left unlocked for quick access and users AES 256 encryption. In version 1.2 data is not removed after closing a widget, it is saved until deleted manually. The data within CryptBoard can also now be scrolled and the widget can be reset if the password is lost. [Download - 0.26MB]
