Treasure Island goes gold

Coladia has announced gold status for Destination: Treasure Island on the Mac. The game is a point-and-click adventure title, claimed to have photo-realistic graphics and inspiration from the Robert Louis Stevenson novel. Gamers encounter numerous puzzles playing as Jim Hawkins, who is hunting for the treasure of Long John Silver on Emerald Island. The game is set four years after the book's end, with Hawkins in a race against Silver's enemies.

Treasure Island runs on both Intel and G5 systems clocked at 1.6GHz or better, so long as either also has 512MB of RAM and Mac OS X 10.4. A 2.0GHz Intel Mac with 1GB of RAM and a 64MB video card is preferred. The game should ship February 24th at a cost of $40.
