PhotoTools 2 update
OnOne Software has announced PhotoTools 2 Standard and Professional Edition, updates to its Photoshop plugins that provide a wide range of image enhancing tools. Features in the newest version expand the range of photographic effects, offer an improved effects-library, and adds masking capabilities directly within the PhotoTools 2 program. The update also provides users extended abilities to apply the hundreds of PhotoTools 2 effects to video files within Photoshop CS3 and CS4.
One feature added in the new version is designed specifically for the Professional Edition and delivers an export plugin for Lightroom 2 and Aperture 2.1 programs. In addition, the software now provides easier access to the onOne Exchange community site for people downloading new effect presets.
Both the Standard and Professional Edition require Mac OS X 10.4.8 or higher in order to run, and can be purchased from the onOne website at $160 for the Standard version and $260 for the Professional Edition. The update is priced at $100 regardless of which version the user owns.
PhotoTools 2 Professional Edition comes with an additional 50 effects from Hack Davis, 62 effects from Kevin Kubota, and integration with Photoshop Lightroom and Apple Aperture.
