TRENDnet previews products

Today, TRENDnet has announced the list of products that will be launched and demonstrated at this year's CeBIT. Products being launched at the show consist of several GREENnet Switches and a Wireless N Internet Camera Server with 2-Way Audio. For demonstration, the company will be showing a 7-inch Internet Camera and Phone Monitor, 7-inch Internet Camera Monitor Kit, Wireless N Travel Router, two Wireless N Gigabit Routers, and a Wireless N Gaming Adapter.

The company says that four GREENnet Switches that will be launched at the CeBIT include the 16-Port Gigabit (TEG-S16g), 24-Port Gigabit (TEG-S24g), 16-Port 10/100Mbps (TE100-S16g), and 24-Port 10/100Mbps GREENnet Switch (TE100-S24g). Both the 16 and 24-Port Gigabit switches provide high bandwith performance, while the 16 and 24-Port 10/100Mbps switches offer full duplex performance. All four devices can be used in a Rackmount form factor and can reduce power consumption by up to 70%. The 7-inch Wireless Internet Camera and Photo Monitor (TV-M7) being demonstrated, enables users to view real-time wireless-streaming internet camera video without the need of a computer, and is capable of monitoring up to 4 cameras at once, or to switch between 10 different cameras manually. In addition to the Monitor, the 7-inch Wireless Internet Camera Monitor Kit (TV-M7110WK) offers users the tools needed to start an IP Camera security network, including one TRENDnet wireless camera, and the Wireless Internet Camera Server.

Wireless Routers being demonstrated include the 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router (TEW-654TR) that comes with a travel kit and supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup, a 450Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router (TEW-773GR) complete with a built-in chipset that supports three high performance external antennas and three spatial streams per antenna, and the 300Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N Gigabit Router (TEW-673GR) which provides up to 14x the speed and 6x the coverage of any Wireless-G connection.

I purchased a wireless card after Thanksgiving because of an attractive mail in rebate and was informed by letter after Christmas the company had filed for bankruptcy and would not be honoring any mail in rebates. Do not buy from a company that will be bankrupt shortly, go elsewhere!
