Epiphany, Brain Thaw

  • Vibration ($3) uses the accelerometer within the iPhone and iPod touch to turn the device into a vibration spectrum analyzer. The application can acquire and display time series data, optionally remove DC bias, apply a Hamming window and perform an FFT on each channel to produce frequency spectra. Sample rate and sample delay can be adjusted using sliders and the user can select the length of the data acquisition and the vertical scale used for the display.

  • pearPad ($2) allows an iPhone to be used as a remote trackpad or keyboard for a Mac computer. The application also allows users to map any key combination to a swipe-gesture or shake-detection control. pearPad also includes large buttons, a divided qwerty-layout and a dedicated number-pad.

  • Kids Eat Free ($1) can help locate restaurants that offer "Kids Eat Free" nights. The deals are organized by days of the week so that users can see which restaurants are offering the special each night. The application includes a database of over 8,000 US locations which are compared to a users location to find the closest restaurant offering this deal.

  • Epiphany Recorder (free) works by passively recording conversations and then when prompted, "back capturing" the last portion of the audio stream via a one button interface. The application is constantly listening to audio via a microphone and then after users hear something they want to capture they can touch one button and set it to record the past 2 minutes, 1 minute, 30 seconds or 15 seconds.

  • Brain Thaw ($1) is a puzzle game where players must choose the right numbers according to a give math rule. Each puzzle contains power-ups and obstacles that users can take advantage of to improve their score. Scores can then be compared on several leaderboards including a worldwide leaderboard.
