Documents To Go for iPhone
DataViz displayed a public beta version of its Documents To Go application for the iPhone at the GSMA, according to Macitynet. Previously only available for Windows mobile phones and the Palm OS, Documents To Go enables users to modify Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint document from their phone. The beta version for the iPhone allows for editing of Microsoft Word documents using the displayed virtual keyboard, and includes copy and paste functions. People can also customize the color of the text.
Any edited Microsoft Word files using Documents To Go can be e-mailed to other users. In order to access additional menu options when editing a document, users can simply swipe their finger left or right on the menu bar located overtop the virtual keyboard. Currently, Excel and PowerPoint editing functions are still under development and no word has been given regarding when they will available and when the application will be moving on from a public beta to a complete version.
