Play With Pictures for Mac
Vertus has released a new photo-taking and photo-editing application, Play With Pictures. Designed to help provide a simple way to create custom photos, the program lets users cut out an unlimited number of people or objects from various pictures and combine them into a preferred background. Once users have placed their desired pictures in the background, an automatic blend tool is used to help smooth out any hard edges and makes the picture fit more realistically with the background.
Other features to improve the transition between the background pictures pasted pictures, are slider tools that can be used to adjust the transparency of individual cut-outs, as well as its color tint.
Also provided is a quick copy ability which will duplicate cut-outs as many times as needed. For fast importing of pictures into the program users can simply drag and drop them in. Play With Pictures includes text capabilities which allows users to add a text box with the image, to insert pieces of text throughout the image, and to add speech bubbles. All text can have its color and tint customized.
Users can share their finished products with other people via e-mail, Facebook, MySpace, Photobucket, Flickr, and through print. A free trial of the software is available for download, with the full version priced at $40, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 and higher.
