Tiffen Photo fx for iPhone
Tiffen has launched Photo fx , an iPhone-based version of its Dfx Digital Filter Creative Effects software. The app sports 26 filters in five groups, and provides slider controls to adjust parameters like blur or tint. Images are pulled from photos taken or stored on a handheld, and are saved separately in their edited form in order to preserve the originals.
Some effects in the app include Face fx, Outer fx, Fun fx, Classic fx and Wild fx, as well more straight-forward Black and White, Halo, Day for Night, Infrared and Night Vision options, among others. The app also features 27 film looks, and supports shaking a device to apply a random filter.
Photo fx works with both the iPhone and the iPod touch, and requires v2.2 firmware. It is selling for $3 at the iTunes App Store.
