  • HoudahSpot 2.4 ($25) allows users to create detailed queries to pinpoint the exact file they are searching for. HoudahSpot 2.4 has added a new text preview feature. This allows users to preview any text files that are found while searching without having to open the file in its default application. The preview automatically highlights searched strings within the text allowing users to quickly locate the portion of the document they are looking for. [Download - 2.6MB]

  • AKVIS ArtWork 2.0 ($72) allows users to apply different painting techniques to digital photos. The automatic artist lays brush strokes naturally using the original photo as a reference, allowing users to touch-up the painting by selectively changing the direction of strokes. Version 2.0 converts photos into oil paintings and presents a new painting style - Comics. This new lets ArtWork users replicate works of famous comics artists such as a rotoscope-like effect, as in the film "A Scanner Darkly". [Download - 20MB]

  • CookWare Deluxe 4.2 ($36) is a tool that allows users to organize all of their recipes in one location. The application automatically formats recipes as they are entered, creates custom printing templates, enables users to assign multiple categories to recipes, and supports saving searches as well as menus. Along with some maintenance fixes the update also features additional categories and tags and the Category Chooser now users the full depth of the monitor. [Download - 35.2MB]

  • TapNTune 1.0 (free) is a set of desktop tools for musicians that includes both a metronome and tuner. The metronome includes real-time tempo tapping, a choice of 3 click sounds and beat and division capabilities. The tuner features a full chromatic 10-plus range, switchable microphone and sound modes, live entry of pitches and separate buttons to switch both octave and individual pitch. [Download - 15MB]

  • TrailRunner 1.9 (free) is an outdoor oriented route-planning and journaling application. The software offers automatic route calculation for a given distance, a workout diary, workout histograms and analysis tools for measured data like speed, ascent, heart-rate, and personal aerobic zone. TrailRunner 1.9 can directly download GPS recordings from Trails, a companion iPhone app to go along with the desktop software. [Download - 5MB]
