iPhone apps: Sketches, ACTPrinter, BonusHunter

  • Sketches ($5) is a tool for iPhone and iPod touch users that can be used to jot down quick notes, create finger paintings or to annotate photos. The application allows users to draw freehand or use predefined shapes that can be resized and rotated. Sketches also features its own image hosting service, which can be used to store pictures that users want to share via twitter or email.

  • ACTPrinter ($2) allows users to store electronic documents on their iPhone or iPod touch. The application allows users to "print" files on their Mac onto their iPhone meaning users can bring along electronic documents without the need to waste a sheet of paper. ACTPrinter also features a document reader that can open files right on the device.

  • BonusHunter ($1) is a game where players guide a banker around with the goal of collecting as much money as possible. While collecting cash players have to watch our for their colleagues who are doing the same and attempt to avoid them. As the timer counts down the supply of money available slowly decreases but occasional the Capitol comes along and showers the player with additional money.

  • DialByPhoto ($2) allows users to call, email or text their contacts by using photos or icons. Users can flip through a list of contacts and when they find the desired one, the icon can be dragged up to the top to select how to interact with the contact.

  • Doppler ($1) is an RSS reader that can be synchronized with a readers Google Reader subscriptions. This allows users to keep up with all of their RSS subscriptions while on the go. Users can enter their Google account information, then select the feeds they want to download on their phone and the application will do the rest.
