In brief: Several companies have announced that they will be celebrating the 25th birthday of the Macintosh computer by offering discounts on its software. nova media is offering its launch2net software at a reduction of over 60% while Coriolis Systems is offering all of its software at a 25% price reduction. Chronos has also offered a deal for its customers but it is focused on thanking them for their business. Users can download a free image pack to be used with SOHO Labels 4 that is focused on a winter theme.

nova media has announced that it will be offering a discount on its launch2net application in celebration of 25th birthday of the Macintosh computer. launch2net is a mobile Internet connection wizard which allows users to set-up and use mobile Internet connections worldwide. The software supports many mobile phones, most USB modems and datacards and already includes drivers and network access information for a hassle free online experience. From January 24th until January 25th customers will be able to purchase the software for $30 which is a reduction of more than 60% from its regular price of $75.

Coriolis Systems has also announced that it will now be offering a 25% discount on its iDefrag and iPartition applications to celebrate the Mac’s 25th birthday. iDefrag is a disk optimization tool for Mac OS X that features on-line and off-line defragmentation, so users can work while the disk is in use by the optimization application. iPartition allows users to repartition disks without losing data, and works with HFS+ Mac OS Extended Partitions. To qualify for the discount, users must purchase one of the products from the Coriolis Systems website before midday on January 25th.

Chronos Inc. has released a free Winter Artwork Kit for use with its SOHO Labels 4 application. The kit includes a border, embellishments, background papers, word art, a frame, tags, and more that can be used for creating custom wintertime labels, envelopes, cards, and letters.

IMPORTANTLY, "midday on January 25th" means midday IN UTC (or London time), the idea being that somebody is still in January 24th somewhere until that point.
