Lightroom, Camera Raw RCs
Adobe has posted release candidate updates for two key pieces of photography software, Lightroom 2 and Photoshop Camera Raw. The former handles bulk processing and editing of photos, while the latter expands support for RAW files within Photoshop. Lightroom has been updated to v2.3, and Camera Raw has been pushed to v5.3.
Both updates introduce RAW support for two recent cameras, the Nikon D3X and the Olympus E-30. The Lightroom update additionally fixes a memory leak, which affected some owners of v2.2, and includes support for languages such as Chinese, Italian, Spanish and Portugese. As both updates are only release candidates, however, Adobe cautions that they are not available through automatic delivery, and may still have minor problems.
