In brief: SmartSound has announced that it will now begin to bundle its software with video editing programs from Adobe, Roxio and Serif. David Pogue, a tech columnist for the New York Times has released a new book that is supposed to help photographers learn the basics of digital photography. The book covers topics that range from what to look for when purchasing a new digital camera to basic editing functions. Limit Point Software has announced that they will be offering a software bundle that will give users the ability to buy Mailings and iForm together at a 60% reduced price.

SmartSound Software, Inc. has announced that Adobe, Roxio and Serif will now begin bundling several SmartSound applications with their own software. Adobe Premiere Elements version 7 now includes an integrated version of SmartSound's Quicktracks software, which allows users to add custom length music scores to all of their digital video projects. Roxio will now be including Sonicfire Pro, a music scoring application with the ability to create custom length scores and adjust the feel of the score by selecting from different mood presets, in Creator 2009 Ultimate and Toast 10 Pro. Additionally, Serif, Inc. will also begin offering a bundle option of Sonicfire Pro with their Movie Plus X3 video editing software.

David Pogue, the New York Times tech columnist and camera critic, has released a new book which should help readers become more familiar with aspects of digital photography. "David Pogue's Digital Photography: The Missing Manual" covers four main categories which have been titled "The Camera", "The Shoot", "The Lab", and "The Audience". These categories can help readers to understand what to look for when buying a new camera, how to use all of their cameras features to the fullest, basic editing and ways to show off their photos. The book is written in a way that helps readers become familiar with all of the terms and definitions to make advanced features more accessible.

Limit Point Software has announced a new promotion that allows customers to purchase Mailings and iForm together at a 60% discount. Mailings is an application for bulk emailing that can deliver any web page or text document with attachments to multiple recipient, while iForm is a form processor and server that can be used to create mailing lists for Mailings. The Mailings-iForm Bundle, available until January 25th, includes activation codes for both products and free upgrades forever at a price of $28.
