Mellel 2.6 update
RedleX has released an update to its word processor for Mac, Mellel 2.6. The program is designed for creative and technical writing, providing tools to create and organize documents that include details such as footnotes, endnotes or a special citations palette. The latest version now supports QuickLook document previews that resemble PDFs, while a new "spread view" feature allows documents to be viewed as single page, two page, four page, or spread layouts.
The update also offers an enhanced statistics palette that now lets users configure which characters to exclude from the count, in addition to improved support for exporting documents that include Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters. Smart style matching assists users with matching imported documents or files with ad hoc attributes.
Mellel 2.6 is available for $50 with a regular license, $65 for the boxed edition, or $35 with an education license. Users who already own Mellel can purchase the upgrade for $20.
