REALbasic plug-ins 9.0

Monkeybread has released an update to its REALbasic plug-ins, which have finally reached v9.0. The plug-ins expand the basic functionality of the development platform with new classes and functions; v9.0 ads the PNGWriterMBS and PNGReaderMBS classes, for instance, and the CURLMBS.LoadLibraryData function. Other items new to the update -- which concentrates on graphics -- include CIImageMBS.RenderNSImage, more PictureMBS methods, and TiffPictureMBS.ReadRGB.

Carbon Events have meanwhile been added for gesture handling, and DarwinIFStatInterfaceMBS has been upgraded to 64-bit code. Monkeybread has also introduced ABPickerMBS.SelectedStrings and vABPickerMBS.SelectedDictionaries, and expanded MenubarMBS, ATSUTextLayoutMBS and ATSUStyleMBS. The plug-ins start at $26 for individual components (such as for TIFF or Leopard), but can be had as a complete bundle for $259.
