Briefly: Proloquo2Go, ATTO/Xyratex partnership

In brief: AssistiveWare has announced that it will be previewing a few of its upcoming applications at the BETT show in London, England. There will be both new iPhone and Mac applications previewed at their booth (SN47) over the course of the event. ATTO has announced that it is beginning a partnership with Xyratex to offer a new video production tool at a more affordable price. Meanwhile, an Apple community member has created and released their own collection of Pages templates.

AssistiveWare announced that it will be previewing Proloquo2Go, which uses Acapela Group's forthcoming iPhone text-to-speech to provide a communication option for the iPhone and iPod touch for people who cannot speak. An upcoming version of Infovox iVox, which introduces new British, Italian, Greek, Norwegian and Russian voices for the Mac, is scheduled to be previewed at BETT. BETT is the an educational technology event that runs from January 14th to 17th in the Olympia Hall in London, UK.

ATTO Technology has announced it will be teaming up with Xyratex to offer a high-performance video production tool. The ATTO Celerity Fibre Channel host adapter provides load balancing and path failover for uninterrupted access to storage media. The adapter can be used with the Xyratex F6412E RAID storage system for 4-Gb/sec. Fibre Channel connectivity with multipathing support for the Mac.

A community member has created a selection of custom templates for Apple's Pages software and is offering them at no cost. The templates are commercial free and royalty free use items and all of the images come from two sources, the creators personal image collection and PD Photo.
