HRL releases VoiceThis Voice Dialer for iPhone

HRL Technologies has released VoiceThis Voice Dialer for the iPhone, an application that enables users to dial anyone in their contact list by simply stating the name. The program provides customizable options for nicknames, pronunciation of names or presentation of contact pictures. Access to free 411 from Google can be initiated by stating "Goog 411." Other features include a toggle to cancel noise, an option to end calls by shaking the phone and the ability to call contacts in several languages.

Voice Dialer requires the iPhone 2.2 software update and is available from iTunes for $1. Other applications offered by the company include VoiceThis Text and VoiceThis E-mail.
