Briefly: FileMaker DevCon, CNS plug-ins, Mariner
In brief: Dates have been set for the 2009 FileMaker DevCon and potential attendees can register now to receive special early EARLY bird pricing. Comm-Unity Networking Systems has finished testing their FileMaker Pro plug-ins with FileMaker 10 Pro and found that most still function exactly as they should. The two plug-ins that are experiencing minor flaws are being addressed and updates are expected to release soon. Meanwhile, Mariner Software has announced that it has now acquired ReceiptWallet and will begin selling it from their website in the near future.
The 2009 FileMaker DevCon has been scheduled and will be held in San Francisco, California. The conference will take place from August 13th until the 16th and will be located at the Hilton San Francisco on O'Farrell Street. Those looking for tickets can register now to receive the early EARLY bird price of $1195, which will remain available until the end of January. Those who register between February 1st and June 26th qualify for the early bird price of $1295 and any registration after that will cost $1495.
Comm-Unity Networking Systems has announced that most of their CNS plug-ins for FileMaker are 100% compatible with the latest release, FileMaker 10 Pro. The plug-ings that are fully compatible are: CNS Audit, CNS Image, FTPit Pro, MMEmail, MMQuery, MMRegEx, MMScript, POP3it Pro and SMTPit Pro. CNS Menu and MMColor are compatible except for minor positioning issues when the new Status Bar and/or Formatting Bar is visible. Updates for CNS Menu and MMColor should be available soon to fix the position errors.
Mariner Software have announced their acquisition of ReceiptWallet, an application that allows users to scan, store and manage receipts and documents. ReceiptWallet will be available, for sale and trial, on the Mariner Software website in the near future and the shipping version will be offered for $50 while the download version will cost $45.
