Apple sets date for Q1 2009 financial results call

Apple has announced the date for its next financial conference call, which will discuss the results of the company's first fiscal quarter of 2009. The call is currently scheduled for Wednesday, January 21st at 2PM Pacific, or 5PM Eastern time. Those not participating directly in the call will have to listen via a QuickTime webcast.

The quarter's results may prove significant for Apple, as they will be first to accommodate the full impact of the global credit crisis. The holidays are also traditionally the peak season for Apple sales, and in the first month of the quarter the company finally refreshed most of its MacBook line, producing a spike in sales. There is also interest in the impact of the economy on the first holiday season for the iPhone 3G.
