EVE Online: Apocrypha

CCP has announced the release date of EVE Online: Apocrypha, the tenth free expansion of its science fiction MMO game. EVE Online is a large virtual universe where users pilot their spaceships around as they trade, fight, complete missions, or converse with other players. For the update, users can expect to see unpredicted wormholes opening up that will connect the player to unexplored regions of the universe. Inside these new areas players will find equipment which can be used to create Tech 3 modular ships, large customizable ships that can fill various roles from skirmish muscle to industrial support.

NPC agents in the expansion will be capable of assigning Epic Mission Arcs to pilots, missions that require the player to travel longer distances and interact with more adversaries. In addition, the game has modified the experience new players will receive in an attempt to help them grow and prosper within the universe.

CCP has stated the expansion will be released March 10th, and coincides with an EVE Online boxed copy, though a partnership with Atari.

Unfortunately I would not recommend any Mac user subscribe to Eve Online. As a former subscriber, CCP was one of the worst supporters of the Mac version of Eve Online. On the support forums you'd be lucky to get a response to questions regarding the Mac client. The Mac client is buggy, slow, and way behind the windows version. Did they EVER come out with the fancy graphics for the mac client? I would not be surprised if the above graphics are from the windows client. Anyone who plays Eve Only and partakes in any kind of serious battles has to revert to the windows client for fear of the mac client crashing. The Mac client is not even a true Mac client but uses Transgaming's "portability engine".

Well actually CCP, is bringing out a whole new Mac client for the new expansion. This will be with the premium graphics. So no need for not recommending one of the best mmo's in the world
