Shade 9 adds particle and collision detection

Mirye Software has released the latest update to its 3D modeling, animating, and rendering tool, Shade 9. Developed to help animators create organic and realistic characters, users can also render custom built locations, environments, and added effects. The latest update for the software enables a hair salon feature to grow, style and color hair, a particle physics system to allow effects such as smoke, flames, or explosions, and a ray tracing nanorenderer in the surface window to give a real-time preview of selected surface attributes.

Other features with the new version allow the import and export HDRI images in PFM format, and to save Shade 9 scene files as DirectX objects. A customizable workplace is provided where users can save the preferences in the window layout, along with creatable multiple MulNotele workspaces that animators can switch between. Plus a Parallax bump mapping has been added to provide virtual depth to surfaces giving a more three-dimensional look by altering camera position and angle.

Included in the update are 22 more polygon mesh tools, and improved learning materials. Shade 9 comes in three different levels and prices starting at $50 for the Shade Designer LE, $250 for Shade Standard, and Shade Professional at $900.
