Safari+ brings desktop features to Mobile Safari

updated 07:10 pm EST, Wed December 31, 2008

Mobile Safari bookmarklets

iPuhelin has released Safari+, a set of JavaScript bookmarklets that brings several desktop browser features to Mobile Safari on the iPhone or iPod touch. The bookmarklets can be saved as bookmarks in the browser to provide quick links for a variety of functions including opening links in new or existing windows, listing all links, displaying all images, or duplicating pages. The utilities can also be used to translate pages, find words on a page, or navigate to similar sites using Google and Similicio.us.

The individual Safari+ bookmarklets can be added directly from the iPuhelin site. Site translation functions support conversion to English, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian or Danish.
