iStation Korea intros T3

iStation, a brand of products owned by Korea's Digital Cube, has recently unveiled its latest portable media player in the form of the T3. The handheld device sports a 4.3-inch, 480x272 touchscreen that dominates its interface and will be offered in four versions, with 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of internal memory. All variations will have an SDHC memory card expansion slot.

On the software side, the T3 runs Windows CE 5.0 operating system, while file support will include MP3, WMA, WAV as well as less popular OGG, FLAC, APE and AC3 audio formats. Videos encoded in the AVI, MPEG-4, DIVX, XVID and WMV formats will also be supported. Content can also be put onto a TV thanks to a video output, and an FM radio tuner is included for convenience, as is a voice recorder. Files are transferred via a USB connection. As is typical of Korean personal audio devices, a dictionary application is also included. The unit's battery life is rated at up to 10 hours.

No pricing information nor release dates are known for the T3 or whether the device will be released outside of its home Korean market. [via Akihabara]
