MobileMe update offers faster searching, bug fixes

MobileMe updated

Apple has released a service update for its web-based e-mail service, MobileMe. Users can now search for contacts in large address books without encountering a "slow script" alert message. A keyboard shortcut has been added for creating new contacts, and exported vCards containing multi-line addresses can be imported into the address book. The calendar now allows sorting of to-do items by the title, while long titles will appear properly in the month view.

The gallery contains an improved "tell a friend" message and a bug fix that corrects an issue with key photos. Several enhancements have also been included with the iDisk, account, and login functions.

Apple recommends using the latest version of OS X Leopard, MobileMe Control Panel, or iPhone software. The updates to the web-based service took effect on Monday.

    Thats great,

but I've never been able to use their MobileMe site as its incompatible with IE6 - what we're forced to use at work.
