ePhone M8 iPhone clone

An anonymous clone labeled the ePhone M8 has surfaced that provides a fairly accurate iPhone 3G clone until one peruses its specs. Notably absent are its inspiration's full touchscreen and 3G data network support features, with M8 owners having to make do with TV support and handwritten input capabilities. The 3.2-inch, 240x430 screen will play back 3GP- and MP4-format videos while its 1.3-megapixel camera will take photos and videos, unlike the iPhone's 2MP shooter. Also, users can send MMS messages. Storage is confined to a memory card slot, with a 1GB TransFlash (microSD equivalent) card included.

Also unlike its Apple he clone has dual SIM card support . Ring tones can be downloaded or created, as the M8 supports MP3 or polyphonic tones. Bluetooth and a voice recorder round out the major specs. Game support is included, with buyers receiving one unnamed title pre-loaded. The M8's menus and controls can be set to be written in one of ten languages.

Sold individually or in bulk, the M8 gets cheaper the more you buy, with 1 to 2 units priced at nearly $160 each, while buying 15 or more drops the individual price to just under $149. [via Wired]

Since when does producing a product that happens to look exactly like the iPhone, and sold in a box that looks like the iPhones, make the device a 'clone'?

I mean, Apple's phone doesn't come with a cool looking photo of a car on it! It's completely different.
