iFinance 3.0 hits public beta, adds budgeting
Synium Software has released a public beta of its new personal finance software, iFinance 3.0. The third edition features interactive 3D charts, a new workflow, a customizable user interface and a budgeting feature. The app manages a user's entire cash flow, and breaks expenses out into categories. The 3D charts give users a quick way of tracking spending and investment patterns, and can be customized to user preference. Stocks, quotes and portfolio performance are tracked in the program, which also generates detailed information about profits and losses.
Budgeting in iFinance 3.0 lays out expenses and resources, which helps to manage projects or plan for a unique event. The budgeting tool further gives warnings about exceeding limits, and tracks day-to-day expenditures in real-time.
iFinance 3.0 is $20 during its public beta phase, and licenses will continue into the final version. Mac OS X 10.5 or better is required, along with an Internet connection for stock price and exchange rate retrieval.

why reinvent the wheel?
I like the idea of this program, Quicken needs competition! BUT Why do they insist on reinventing the interface? Everybody is used to a standard ledger layout for transaction information. They've thrown this out, turned it into gumdrops, and then pushed the text entry into a large 25% of the screen dialog section. Why couldn't they just give you a ledger and tab through the fields and get your work done quickly.
wow
Whose the drug dealer who's ledger is this? I mean, $4000 income every day? That's some inflow.
