Camera Art, Toy Bot

  • Memento Xmas (free) creates and sends Christmas cards right from an iPhone or iPod touch. Users pick one of the built-in templates, add a picture and their own greeting words, and then mail the card off. Four different styles are available, tested for compatibility with Mail, Thunderbird, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail and MobileMe.

  • Dinner Spinner (free) provides access to a library of recipes, complete with reviews and photos. The recipes are pulled from the database, and can be both searched and sorted. Sorting options include categories like dish type, ingredients and total cooking time. If a user is unsure of what they want, they can shake the device for a random recipe.

  • PhotoMatch ($2) is a memory-based matching game that allows the creation of custom games using library photos or freshly-snapped shots. The game also provides five default photos as backup. Players are timed as they try and finish a puzzle, and at the end of one are presented with their speed, how many matches were missed, and the best time for that specific puzzle.

  • Camera Art ($3) is said to be inspired by "Camera Toss," a technique of using long exposures and camera movement to create lightshow-style effects. Camera Art functions by using the accelerometer to detect motion and fire the shutter; as a result, users do not have to press a button and move the camera at the same time.

  • Toy Bot Diaries 3 ($4) is the third entry into the Toy Bot game series. In this last installment, players must travel through space and befriend allies in an attempt to save Earth from War Bot's latest weapon. The game features the same stylized, comic book-inspired graphics and controls that previous titles have used.
