DE:Noise expands support

RE:Vision Effects has posted a new version of its DE:Noise plug-ins, now tailored to The Foundry's Nuke, eyeon's Fusion and Autodesk's Toxik. DE:Noise is used to remove noise and artifacts from video footage, as well as similar problems such as dirt. The program uses frame-by-frame correlation to detect and remove defects, and when smoothing over noise, attempts to preserve important details. Users can additionally apply general post-processing tweaks such as sharpening.

The new plug-in set specifically supports Nuke 5.1, Fusion 5.2 and Toxik 2008, though other programs compatible with the OFX format may be functional. Licenses range in price from $45 to $285, depending on whether the plug-ins are configured to be render-only and/or floating or node-locked. The Mac version runs on Mac OS X 10.4 or later, though software is available for 32- and 64-bit versions of Linux, Windows XP and Vista.
