After Effects CS4 9.0.1
Adobe has posted an update to After Effects CS4, the most recent version of its video effects software. The patch, v9.0.1, makes upgrades to Mocha, enabling it to properly read QuickTime files. Also improved are Dynamic Link workflows, though Adobe has not specified the differences in the new code.
Remaining changes consist of bug fixes, such as one for a problem in which rendering would be suspended if power settings were set to turn a display off. A hang created when reading XMP markers has been eliminated, as has one in which MediaCore playback would fall out of sync due to an issue with the "Write XMP IDs to Files on Import" option. Lastly, importing still sequences from Recent Footage should now capture a whole sequence instead of a single image.
The v9.0.1 update is a 220MB download.
