Wolfram debuts free Mathematica Player 7

Wolfram Research has launched a free file-viewing tool, Mathematica Player 7. The software is used to enhance documents and applets with the Mathematica engine, eliminating the need for predetermined outcomes by developing data as a program is being used. Features of the Mathematica Player include point-and-click interactions, and being able to rotate, scale and zoom 3D representations in real-time.

More features provided with the Player allow users to read or print any Mathematica notebook, and implement custom outline and slideshow formatting. A host of free demonstrations and other interactive material can be downloaded from within Player.
