New Firefox 3.1 beta adds Mac multi-touch support

Firefox 3.1 B2 adds touch

A newer beta version of Firefox adds multi-touch support, Mozilla has announced. For owners of MacBooks with multi-touch trackpads -- new and old -- Firefox 3.1 beta 2 includes a variety of supported gestures, mainly swipes. Swiping left and right with three fingers will move forward and backward through a browser's history, while swiping up and down will jump to the beginning or end of a page.

Twisting clockwise and counterclockwise cycles through tabs, with the ability to loop around to the first or last tab from either end of the browser. Pinching allows users to zoom in and out of a page, much as in Safari, but with the notable difference of continuous zoom, as opposed to having to zoom one level at a time.

    FYI

    It's 3.1 beta 2, not 3.2 beta 2.

    no, it's Firefox 3.2

No, there is a "nightly build" of Firefox 3.2 (which is different from the 3.1 beta 2) that includes gesture support.
