Tivoli NetWorks radio

Tivoli on Monday announced the release of its NetWorks radios that connect to the Internet via their built-in Wi-Fito deliver streaming radio. The NetWorksalso allows users to access their networked PCs via an Ethernet connection or the wireless link. The NetWorks radios sport a hand-crafted wood frame that houses one 3.5-inch speaker, but users can expand them with a separate stereo speaker, CD player and subwoofer offered by Tivoli.

Users can save five of their favorite Internet music stations as presets, while up to 200 stations can be saved in a database accessed via the blue backlit LCD with white text. A USB port lets users connect their or other digital audio players or flash-based memory sticks to the NetWorks radio, which natively supports MP3 and WMA files. An aux-in jack provides support for all other portable media players, while a dual alarm clock wakes owners with both snooze and sleep timer features.

The basic NetWorks radio, available in Cherry, Walnut or Wenge wood finishes, is priced at nearly $600, while a version with FM and DAB tuners is priced at $650. Stereo versions of either with two speakers are priced at $700 and $750, respectively.
