BoinxTV 1.1 adds Sidebar layer, extended demo

updated 03:45 pm EST, Mon December 8, 2008

BoinxTV 1.1 released

Boinx Software has released v1.1 of its live video production program, BoinxTV. Offering a new Sidebar layer that allows users to slide in content from either the left or right edge of the screen, the update also makes changes to the Scrolling Text parameters, enabling users to place scrolling credits on top of a sidebar. More adjustments include an extension to the Demo mode, increasing the five-day period to a 30 days, and removal of the overlay when working with the demo so people can produce usable footage. Boinx has also added a MyShop template, making it possible to create and manage a shopping channel.

When starting up BoinxTV from now on, a warning will be displayed if the user has Safari 4 Developer Preview 2 installed, since it will eventually crash the program. BoinxTV is normally priced at $500 for a single license; a sponsored edition is available for $200, but this requires a credit for BoinxTV in every video created.
