Google adds iCal support to Calendar
Google has officially announced public support for the CalDAV protocol in Calendar, its online scheduling application. The update means that Mac owners can now integrate Calendar with iCal, which in turn should allow sync between the two programs, the ability to operate offline, and answer invitations from other users. It should also be possible to track the free/busy information of colleagues.
The CalDAV hooks have been in testing with developers since July, according to Google, and this has allowed them to write a setup utility for iCal. The app is said to automate the process of linking information with Calendar, and is a free, open-source download via Google Code. Its availability will likely mean the integration of Calendar support into a host of third-party software.

more calendars in Sunbird
As mentioned in the post, CalDav was being tested since July, but now iCal and Sunbird sync are officially supported. That Calaboration app is really slick as all one has to do is enter the pertinent account details and the app allows you to choose which calendars you want to add to iCal.
Unfortunately, Sunbird seems to only sync the default calendar. I wish other calendars could be added. Maybe someone can implement Calaboration with Sunbird or some other method to allow additional calendars to be synced? While iCal is nice, I'd rather stick to Sunbird as it's multiplatform.

There are an awful lot of "should's" for a news articles. What exactly does "should" mean, here? It sounds suspiciously like wild speculation on the part of the "author".

doesn't work
in my ical it only lets you add the primary calendar. my other calendars are not allowed. maybe its because they are labelled with @ symbols in them for different locations
