Black Friday deals at Amazon
Retailer Amazon.com has reduced the prices on a number of electronics, computer accessories, software applications and more for Black Friday. First up is VMware Fusion 2 priced at $39.99, down $40 off the list price of $79.99. The Altec Lansing iM207 Orbit-MP3 for iPod has been reduced from $39.95 to $14.99. The price on a Hi Fidelity speaker system and charger docking station for iPods has been reduced to $49.99 from $89.99. People can also save $100 on a Sony 1080p Blu-ray disk player, now priced at $199.99, or get a Sylvania Blu-Ray player with an HDMI cable for $179, a drop of roughly $20 off the list price of $199.99.
A 10-megapixel Canon PowerShot digital camera has been reduced to $159.94 from $229.99. A small $2.50 has been sliced from a 4GB EasyStore SDHC card, now priced at $7.99. The Belkin Swivel Hub is being priced at $18.99, after a $10.96 instant rebate. For Black Friday only, select iPod cases are free after a mail-in rebate.
Two deals on Case Logic products are also being featured: a portable hard drive case is $9.99, and a student laptop shuttle is $12.99.

And as predicted, Blu-ray players are now officially sub- $200 devices.
For doubters, there's no question anymore; Blu-ray has solid future (at least as solid as DVD had 8 years ago).
